Plug or Pass

Affiliate Disclosure

How product links may support Plug or Pass without changing our editorial standards.

Effective date: August 4, 2026

How affiliate links work

Some outbound links on Plug or Pass may become affiliate links when a qualifying merchant relationship is active. If you follow one of those links and make an eligible purchase, Plug or Pass may receive a commission. This does not add a separate charge to your purchase.

What does not change

Commercial eligibility does not guarantee coverage, placement, or a positive conclusion. We build guides around reader scenarios and include products as comparison starting points. We disclose tradeoffs and do not invent ratings or hands-on claims. Merchants do not approve our editorial conclusions.

How links are labeled

Commercial guides display a disclosure before the first product call to action. Outbound merchant buttons use language such as “Check current options” because inventory, model configuration, and price can change. Manufacturer source links are provided separately for compatibility and product documentation.

Current link status

Where no tracking relationship is configured, a product button may lead to an ordinary untagged merchant search. If tracking is activated later, the disclosure and link handling will remain visible and the editorial content will not be rewritten to promise a favorable result.
